The Dharmawangsa Jakarta warmly welcomes guests photographing and filming their own stay for personal use. Commercial photography and videography — including pre-wedding shoots, brand campaigns, and editorial productions — require prior approval and a venue licence.
What counts as commercial
Any production involving an external client, paid talent, multiple lighting setups, or post-production for resale or paid distribution is considered commercial. This includes pre-wedding photography taken before the wedding day itself.
How to apply
To apply for a commercial shoot licence, please contact our Marketing team at marketing@the-dharmawangsa.com with the following details:
- Shoot date and proposed locations within the hotel
- Number of crew, talent, and pieces of equipment
- End-use of the footage and proposed publication channels
- Production company name, contact, and insurance certificate
Venue fees
Venue licence fees are available on request from our Marketing team, inclusive of dressing-room access and on-site hotel security. A 50% deposit is required to confirm the reservation; the balance is due seven days before the shoot date.
Restrictions
Photography and filming of other hotel guests, including incidental capture, is strictly prohibited. The hotel reserves the right to refuse any commercial shoot request without cause.
